Hey everyone! This is my first attempt at vlogging and let’s just say I have a lot of practice to do. But here are some clips of our trip to London. I’ll make separate vlogs for each location; Paris, Rome, Germany. Keep an eye out for blog posts and follow me on Instagram @hungry4style_ to keep up with me from day-to-day. Thanks for reading/watching!!
I have some extremely exciting news to share with you all. As you know, I am studying fashion management in Toronto (Humber College), and I got the amazing opportunity to study abroad in Aberdeen, Scotland (RGU) for part of my third year!!!!! I am beyond excited. like it really does not feel real. I have never been to Europe, so of course I’m going to be doing some travelling before I go to school.
My first stop is London, then taking the train to Paris, flying over to Rome (I’ll be there for my 20th birthday!), then over to Germany and finally to the last stop, Scotland. I’ll be doing so many things and each day will bring something new. I can’t wait to share my days with all of you! I bought a new camera so my pics will be extra fleek and I’m going to try to vlog my trip and make a few videos as well.
Make sure you’re following me on Instagram @hungry4style_ to keep up with all the action. I seriously cannot wait to take outfit pics beside the Eiffel Tower or down a cobblestone path in London. Also, if you have any places to eat, shop or see in any of the places mentioned above, please, please share in the comments below or on my Instagram.
I’m so excited to share this journey with all of you and I hope you like the posts!!
I thought I would do a different type of post today and show you my necklace collection. I am pretty nosy and love seeing what is in people’s closet or makeup collection. I’m going to split this post into two parts; my statement necklaces and my everyday necklaces. I want to share how I wear them and why I love them. I have a lot more silver then gold because I find silver goes with a lot more colours and outfits. Hopefully this gives you some new ideas on how to wear your necklaces!
So here are the statement necklaces I have on rotation. Be sure to head over to my Instagram to see these necklaces in action!
This is the ultimate statement necklace and I usually like to wear it with a plain tee or flannel. All the attention has to be on the necklace, duh. I like the edgy, rocker vibe it gives off. This one is from Aldo.
This is my latest addition and I am obsessed. Like I said in my Instagram post, I feel like an Egyptian queen when I put it on. I think wearing a white top looks amazing with this colour of gold. Or maybe I feel like a tanned goddess when I wear it. This one is from Dynamite.
Apparently coins are the new thing in necklaces and apparently I am obsessed with them. This necklaces is a little toned down but still grabs most of the attention when wearing it. It fits a bit tighter on the neck so it is kind of like a chocker style. I wear this necklace a lot, with dressy tanks, tees, dresses. This one is from Express.
The necklaces reminds me of the chains that members of punk rock bands wear, and I’m kind of digging it. This one is also pretty toned down so it’s really easy to style with, you can basically wear any shirt. This one is from Dynamite.
I have worn this one quite a bit and I love the layers of thin chain, it adds a cool draping effect. It’s pretty simple but adds a lot of cool detail to your outfit. Recently, I actually wore this necklace hanging off a pair of distressed, black skinnies and I LOVED IT. I saw Gigi Hadid wear it as one of her festival looks and I died. I came back to earth and am obsessed with doing it. This one is from Express.
I bought this romper a few weeks ago and haven’t worn it yet. Story of my life. Mostly because I didn’t have anywhere to wear it too, as I thought it would be a ‘going out’ romper. But I’ve wanted to wear it sooooo badly and I thought that there must be a way for me to style it for during the day (casual). The first idea that came to mind was add some sneakers and wrap a flannel around my waist. Turns out, it really dressed down the romper and now I can wear it to run errands or go for lunch. I then realized that I also do want to be able to wear this out into the evening, maybe for some drinks or a walk downtown. Here are my versions of a day to night outfit with only making a couple simple and quick changes. This could also work for your LBD that’s been hanging in your closet with nowhere to go. Hope you enjoy!!
Really simple, minimal jewelry and light makeup.
To create the ‘NIGHT’ look, I chucked my sneakers and flannel to the side, added a bold lip, put my hair half up, added a simple necklace (because I didn’t want to overpower the lace detailing on the romper) and put on some comfy block heel sandals.
I think these two looks are total opposites and buying pieces that are versatile like this; are great for a busy lifestyle and your wallet.
Today’s Friday Favs will be a little different because I will just be talking about one item in particular because I have been wearing them almost everyday. Drumroll please… this item is a lace bralette. I have quite a few different styles and colours in these and I LOVE wearing them. I wear them around the house, if I don’t feel like putting a real bra on (we’ve all been there) and I wear them when I’m going out. They are so comfy and add a super feminine touch to your outfit. It also looks really cute when it’s peaking through your top. All of mine are from Aerie because they seem to sell the largest product range. There are so many stores that sell lace bralettes so I suggest you grab some!
I’ll share a couple pictures of the ones I have but I’ll leave some links below on where to find some other really cute ones. The great thing about Aerie is that they sell these bralettes through every season and they come in so many colours, bright neons for summer and darker hues for fall/winter. They have some with padding for days where you are wearing it out or if you just want the support and ones without padding for lazy days or for smaller chested women.
Some other stores that sell too cute to be real bralettes are Aritzia, Urban Outfitters, Nasty Gal and so many more. Let me know where you have bought you’re fav bralettes from in the comment box below! Happy Friday!
I’m back with some more favs!! Once again, I’m mixing some beauty products and fashion. TGIF!
As I said in my last Friday Favs, I don’t wear a lot of jewelry at once so small and dainty pieces are what I gravitate towards. These small cuffs are legit my favourite thing ever, atm. I already had the white arrow one then Express came out with the sapphire blue arrow and then the pink hexagon one. They look so cool layered together on my arm. Click on over to my Instagram to see the look.
There is nothing more I can say about this 3-in-1 cleanser then IT IS AMAZING. If you’re looking for a cleanser and makeup remover then I highly recommend this one from Philosophy. It doesn’t dry out your skin, it leaves it so clean and smooth. I use it as part of my night time skincare routine to get all the gunk off my face.
My oh my, I have been wanting to try this brush for so long and I finally got it last week. I have no clue why I waited so long because it works magic when applying foundation. It’s the buffing brush by Real Techniques.
During the past week I’ve been wanting to wear this flannel every day. When I’m getting dressed I have to remind myself that I’ve already worn it. The pattern is not too loud so it really does go with everything. This one is from Express.
I thought it would be funny to do a comical post about the sad truth of being a fashion blogger in the dead of Winter. If you live in a city or town where you actually endure the four seasons, then you can relate. Being January 31st, in Canada, it is near the middle of Winter and it is so cold outside that you need to wear like five layers and have no skin showing. It doesn’t matter if it’s sunny outside because the wind will make it 10x more cold. If it sounds like I’m complaining, I am.
If you’re a fashion blogger in a city or town that endures the four seasons then you definitely can relate. Trying to shoot pictures of your outfit is hard; you can try to bare the cold and take off your winter coat outside or go inside where the backgrounds, most likely, aren’t as cool. So here comes the sad truth, if I was going to do outfit posts they would look like this (for the most part) everyday… lol. #livingintorontofashionbloggerproblems
Getting a coffee is a must, everyday, or multiple times a day. Cinnamon dolce lattes are my fav.

TBH, I am in love with this look. The texture of the sweater mixed with the pattern of the flannel is my favourite. I could probably wear layers like this almost everyday. When I am getting dressed in the morning I sometimes have to remind myself that I have already worn the button-down and sweater combination three times this week already. Maybe that was an exaggeration but I think you get the point. I think when you find a style you love, you want to wear it all the time. The good thing is, these obsessions are usually not long-lived because there are so many other styles to be obsessed with.
Enough rambling and on to the important stuff. If you saw my latest video, you saw I love these new shiny leggings, they are superrrrrrrr comfortable and you can dress them preppy (like I did here) or dress them up for a night out. I am wearing my leather ankle booties because of the gold zipper to add some more detail to my outfit. I had to eventually put my jacket on because it was so hard to pose for photos in the freezing cold weather. I wish I could have a jacket to wear for every outfit so that I could take pics with it on. For now, I’ll keep dreaming and suffer through the cold. Lastly, I recently bought the matte lipstick ‘Stunner’ by Mac x Nasty Gal and this colour is the red lipstick of everyone’s dreams.

Hello again! You better be happy to see me again, if not, well, that’s too bad. I am a day behind on my outfit posts, so this outfit is from yesterday. I had a class presentation which means I had to dress relatively business casual. Usually, a button-down shirt and some jewelry works. Once again, I tucked in my shirt because, as you know, I LOVE doing that. For this outfit, tucking my shirt in definitely made my look more polished and put together.
Let me know what your go-to piece is for business casual days in the comments!
