Lately, all I’ve been wanting to wear is basic tees, leather leggings, skinny jeans, long cardigan and layered outfits. It may have something to do with the fact that it is freezing outside and I have to admit, it’s hard to put outfits together in the winter. If it’s icy outside, you have to wear shoes that won’t slip or get ruined by the salt and you have to cover every inch of your skin so you don’t get frostbite. Needless to say, winter sucks sometimes!
When getting dressed in the morning, I realized that I don’t really have the basics that I need. I’ve been looking online for what I want and I thought I would share with you guys some winter basics to have if you live in a cold climate, like me. Of course, make these basics your own style and choose colours you love, shapes that suit your body and layer how you like.

TBH, I am in love with this look. The texture of the sweater mixed with the pattern of the flannel is my favourite. I could probably wear layers like this almost everyday. When I am getting dressed in the morning I sometimes have to remind myself that I have already worn the button-down and sweater combination three times this week already. Maybe that was an exaggeration but I think you get the point. I think when you find a style you love, you want to wear it all the time. The good thing is, these obsessions are usually not long-lived because there are so many other styles to be obsessed with.
Enough rambling and on to the important stuff. If you saw my latest video, you saw I love these new shiny leggings, they are superrrrrrrr comfortable and you can dress them preppy (like I did here) or dress them up for a night out. I am wearing my leather ankle booties because of the gold zipper to add some more detail to my outfit. I had to eventually put my jacket on because it was so hard to pose for photos in the freezing cold weather. I wish I could have a jacket to wear for every outfit so that I could take pics with it on. For now, I’ll keep dreaming and suffer through the cold. Lastly, I recently bought the matte lipstick ‘Stunner’ by Mac x Nasty Gal and this colour is the red lipstick of everyone’s dreams.

I’m back with another holiday party outfit idea! Just incase you didn’t read the title, lol. If you saw Idea 1, you read that comfy and cozy are two words that basically mean the holidays, Idea 2 is following the trend. Christmas is even closer now and if you still don’t know what to wear to Christmas dinner or to any holiday dinner/party, here is some inspiration! Once again, I LOVE feedback, so let me know what you think in the comments and what you love to wear for holiday parties.
This sweater is SOOOOOO comfy, I literally have worn it like everyday since I have bought it (shhhhh, don’t tell). I love the idea of pairing a warm, oversized sweater with a skirt because it dresses up the look but you can still be super comfy. You can also pair your fav sweater with a skater or circle skirt. Add your own style to this look by adding your fav jewelry, a cool hairstyle, a statement lip colour and more.
I have had this skirt for a couple of years now, the colour is so rich and perfect for the holidays. It has faux leather panels on the front and back which I love and adds some more texture to the look. If the weather is pretty cold you can definitely add tights to your outfit, sheer or opaque would look great.
I opted for a comfier shoe option, because who likes standing around in four inch heels all night long? Not me! Plus, shades of grey are super trendy this winter season and the colour will go with almost anything. The menswear, oxford type shoe is one of my favourite styles, I find they make your outfit look more well put together.
PS… once again, mind the quality of the pictures and focus on the outfit!! I am taking photos with my iPhone because there always seems to be some mysterious spot on my camera lens and the pictures turn out even worse on there. But don’t worry, there will be a new camera in the mix after Christmas!!
I am so excited to finally own a wool fedora! I have been eyeing this hat for a long time now and I am soooo happy to own it. There are a billion and one ways to style this hat and today, I went casual. Since I was off work today, I just had some errands to run so I wanted a casual and comfy outfit.
Black jeans and a tee is my go-to casual outfit. I went with leaving my tee untucked for that baggy, oversized look. And I mean it’s Monday, so it’s a lazy day. I wanted my hat to be the statement piece of the outfit so I went with dark colours that didn’t draw a lot of attention.
I am currently loving the nail polish colour ‘wicked’ by Essie. It such a rich, deep colour; perfect for the Holidays.

When I think of winter, I think of creamy whites, bright reds and shimmering golds. However, when I get dressed for the winter, I think of black. Every women has most likely gone through a stage where all she wore was black, I am still in that stage and have no desire to ever leave it. Let me know if you’re still in this stage as well!
Today, I had to run a few errands and wanted to wear something comfy, but definitely warm. Leather leggings are a staple this winter because they go with EVERYTHING! I mean everything. I wore my super comfy mohair sweater, in other words, my super comfy, fuzzy sweater. Recently, I have been liking the style of showing my socks off, I find it adds a cute touch to my outfits and layers are great for the colder months. If you follow me on Instagram, you have seen that I am loving my paisley scarf this season. I actually bought it around three years ago and I love that I can still rock it today. Shades of pink have been my favourite colour for winter (besides black) and I love that it adds a subtle pop of colour to my outfits.
Let me know what your favourite winter colour is this season in the comments.

PS: mind the quality on these pics 😦 I don’t know what was going on with my camera. I hate having to post pics with crappy quality but I was loving my outfit and wanted to share it with you all.

I’m back again, with another round of current obsessions. As you know, winter can get very, very cold here in Canada; which means SWEATERS ON SWEATERS ON SWEATERS. Currently, I am obsessing over turtleneck and cowl-neck sweaters. The bigger the better; in other words, oversized. These sweaters are so versatile, you can wear them with leggings for a casual look. Or, you can add some fancy earrings and a necklace to dress it up.
The one great thing about these sweaters is that they double as a scarf, so you can keep extra warm this winter. Let me know in the comments what your favourite sweater style is for the winter!
Oh! And Happy Black Friday Shopping!!!!!!

I said a couple posts ago that I wanted to start taking pics of my everyday outfits to post on my blog and here I am! An everyday outfit post on my blog. The weather was a lot warmer today (woop!) so I got to wear a lighter jacket and some sneakers. Sadly, the cold weather will be back with vengeance.
Yesterday at the mall, I was inspired by a few outfits I saw and wanted to create the styles I saw, but in my own way. Layers, layers are so popular for the colder seasons and it’s amazing what textures and colours can look good mixed and matched.
One more thing; one of my many fashion mottos: “You can never wear too much (faux) leather”.

Hello again! You better be happy to see me again, if not, well, that’s too bad. I am a day behind on my outfit posts, so this outfit is from yesterday. I had a class presentation which means I had to dress relatively business casual. Usually, a button-down shirt and some jewelry works. Once again, I tucked in my shirt because, as you know, I LOVE doing that. For this outfit, tucking my shirt in definitely made my look more polished and put together.
Let me know what your go-to piece is for business casual days in the comments!
