Mixing patterns can be tricky to pull off, but once you get it, your outfit looks amazing. I went for more subtle pattern mixing, with a plaid flannel and leopard print sneakers. Since both pieces are at opposite ends of the body, nothing clashed. I also haven’t worn my wool hat in a while and I felt like throwing it on, one of those last minute decisions. Have a great Friday!!
I’m back with another round of current obsessions, I’m finding that whatever I’m obsessed with I usually don’t actually own the item…sadness. My obsessions can change daily, weekly or monthly but there is usually an item that I become obsessed with for a couple months. I want to share with you guys what I love because maybe you love them to or, once seeing this this post, you’ll become obsessed! Let me know in the comments!
SNEAKERS! I can’t stop looking at pics of sneakers on Tumblr, Insta and Pinterest… the twist it adds to your outfit is so enticing. I remember around three years ago I bought a pair of New Balance sneakers in this pink and black colour way, I thought they would make my outfit of jeans and a tee or leggings and a knit sweater look more sporty. Unfortunately, I hardly ever wore them but I think now, I need to go back home and look for them so I can wear them again. Good thing my foot size hasn’t grown at all..lol
I lurked very far into my personal Instagram account and found the photo of my New Balances. From three years ago and I captioned it “Being a loser and wearing running shoes to work”…. Don’t fret, I’m calling myself a hypocrite too but things change! I also worked in a Deli at a grocery store so I guess you could say I was ahead of the trend and stylish while serving sliced black forest ham (shoutout to my Deli family). I just realized, this is also a #TBT to my style when I was 16 years old.

I said a couple posts ago that I wanted to start taking pics of my everyday outfits to post on my blog and here I am! An everyday outfit post on my blog. The weather was a lot warmer today (woop!) so I got to wear a lighter jacket and some sneakers. Sadly, the cold weather will be back with vengeance.
Yesterday at the mall, I was inspired by a few outfits I saw and wanted to create the styles I saw, but in my own way. Layers, layers are so popular for the colder seasons and it’s amazing what textures and colours can look good mixed and matched.
One more thing; one of my many fashion mottos: “You can never wear too much (faux) leather”.
(faux) Leather Jacket: Urban Planet
Lace-trimmed tank: Express
Backpack: Call it Spring
Hey everyone! Havn’t had a lot of time to do an outfit post and go out and get photos taken so instead I’ll show you some of the things I have seen lately and what I have bought! So if you don’t follow my Insta (which you definitely should… @hungry4style_) all these pics I have posted up on there, I take almost all the photos myself or I get some inspiration from Tumblr and other bloggers.
Obviously I love going to the mall and I found so many amazing graphic shirts from Zara. Some are tanks, tees and crew neck sweaters. I also bought my first item from Lush and let’s just say I will be back to buy more. Usually, I’m not so into face washes and all those types of things but I figured I would give it a try (since while camping I bought my first bath bomb). I got the Angels on Bare Skin face wash and OMG, it makes my skin so soft and hydrated. It has hints of lavender and almond meat (inside of the almond not the shell) to reduce redness and keep the skin soft.
Since I have a never ending list of things I want to buy, I am always on the look out for things that I particularly want. And a lace bralette was one of them. A lot of stores have nice ones but they aren’t padded and that is not going to work out for me, I am all about keeping the ladies pushed up. I finally found some at Aerie that act as a bra but show as a feminine and chic bralette. I chose a light pink one because it is the most feminine colour to wear and would look awesome with a lot of colours. I also got a grey one because most of my wardrobe is black and it would look great and give a minimalism style to my outfits.
AREN’T THOSE CHELSEA BOOTS SO AMAZING????!!! YES THEY ARE. Oh lord, those boots are so beautiful and they look even better on (will be buying them soon). Love at first sight really does exist. The great thing about these shoes is that they are a rubber heel so that makes for really comfortable wearing. I am planning to wear these boots with cuffed denim, joggers, skirts, shorts, leather leggings.
One trend to try this fall is the combo of sneakers and boyfriend jeans. Menswear for women can be casual too and this look says it all. Shows the slouchy yet sexy side of wearing a great pair of jeans and some thick-soled sneakers.
