Right now I am really into the look of oxfords. There is just something about seeing those shiny, black patent shoes, that make you look so well put together. A lot of people are afraid of wearing pieces that are menswear inspired, currently there is gender neutrality between what is menswear and what is for women. I’ve been constantly looking at other blogs and street style looks from NYFW, MFW, LFW and now PFW to find my favourite looks to pair oxfords with.
The photos have all been taken from blogs I love, the links are below the photo so be sure to check them out and give them all the credit!
Every style is totally different, some are more feminine and flirty while others took complete control over the ‘menswear’ style. I am definitely on the hunt for a pair of these shoes. Let me know what style you like best in the comments!
Back to cool? Back to school? Same thing.
School is not a time to be wearing sweatpants and your boyfriends sweater. It is a time to show off your amazing style, have fun and experiment with your clothes. Since the day school started, the weather has been a lot cooler so now that means fall clothes!!!! Fall is a great season to mix and match your summer/winter clothes together. I have been keeping an eye out around campus over the last two weeks to see what styles and pieces are popular this season. Solely just based on street style. Without further ado, here is my list of back to school trends.
-Chuck Taylor Converse low-tops (white)
-wool floppy hats/fedoras (black, burgundy, tan)
-basic tees, graphics and camis
-thin crew neck sweaters
Usually, I am not one to wear all the latest trends but, I can’t help myself when some of them are really nice. This fall, a lot of the trends are basics that a lot of people already have in their closet. The looks around campus seem to be very simple; leather leggings with a white tee and necklace, distressed jeans with a graphic tee, flannels tied around the waste. Simple looks need something to make your style stand out. Add a statement necklace, red lips, brightly coloured bag or try out a new hair style. Remember not to blend in. Standing out is a good thing. If you love what you’re wearing, who cares if people stare at you.
IN OTHER NEWS, I just registered my domain so now hungry4style is OFFICIAL OFFICIAL!! I am so excited because I can only go up from here and I thank each and every one of you who look at my blog and follow me. It means a lot to me to inspire other people and get them excited about wearing the clothes they love.
Here are a few of my looks for back to school
I styled the boots with distressed boyfriend jeans because I knew they would look great cuffed (showing a little bit of leg was important). I wore a simple black tee on top to make the boots standout.
Boots are made for walking… to the store… to buy more boots. The chilly weather has begun and that means I’ll be wearing boots on the reg. I was especially excited to wear these new boots from Call It Spring. I knew the ‘chelsea’ style boot was super popular last fall but I had never really seen ones like these. I fell in love. If you read my last post (if not, you should here) you will get what I mean by falling in love with a material item. I tell you, it’s like no other feeling. The only other similar feeling I can think of is when your double bacon cheeseburger and milkshake gets to your table at a restaurant.

Hey guys! MY BIGGEST apology for not doing a post in a while, been pretty busy with work and my creative juices haven’t been flowing at full force lately. But you know who can help that? MOMS! Yup, my mom helped get me back in gear and there will be a post this weekend (shoutout to you, mom).
So instead of an outfit post, I felt it was my duty to at least write a lil’ somethin’ somethin’.
Summer is coming to an end and another season is on it’s way. FALL. The feeling I have when I see a pair of shoes I desperately need is the same feeling I get when a new season is coming. Because, it means new colours, patters, materials, textures, trends…the list goes on. The three colours to sport this season are:
SHADES OF GREY
Once you venture out to your favourite stores, you will definitely notice these three statement colours. This doesn’t mean you need to wear all three colours together (please do not). Instead, add these pops of colours to your existing wardrobe to make your style fall ready.
With the weather cooling down (blah), it means that you’ll need to start layering and wearing sweaters, sweaters and more sweaters. Don’t just go for the classic knit, experiment with graphics, patters, textures (sequins, leather), sleeve length and neck lines. Sweaters are a great basic to have in your fall wardrobe because they can be worn with anything; dress a skirt down with a graphic sweater, make it business casual under a blazer. There are endless possibilities.
Hope this post gave you a few style ideas for fall! Let me know what your fav piece is for fall, in the comments. Don’t forget to follow my Instagram @hungry4style_
As I said in my last post, I am camping for the next couple weeks so I will be sharing the outfits I wear and what I am up to whilst wearing them! After a 3 hour road trip on Sunday morning with my sister we finally arrived at the campground, we got changed and headed straight on over the the Antique Flea Market that is on every Sunday. There are so many cool items from lawn ornaments, real leather goods, antique signs and so much more. You really never know what you will find. I wore my button down striped dress from Dynamite because I felt it was appropriate to wear a casual dress and because it was super hot. I got a cotton candy bath bomb (omg you would not believe how amazing it smelt) and an iron man phone case (I have a never-ending love for Iron Man). Needless to say it was a great day.
On today’s agenda; the beach strip! On your way down to Grand Bend Beach you will find numerous clothing stores, jewellery stores and little knick knack shops. This strip is basically the Canadian version of the Jersey Shore. Didn’t pull out the debit card today but I will sure be back to find some beachy bracelets and a huge towel so I can tan all day.
Next on the list of activities to do, my family and I went to the dog beach (Charlie our husky-lab mix and Winnie our collie-sheppard mix are the two cutest dogs in the world). Of course us humans can swim too so I HAD to wear my new bathing suit (check out my last post!) and my romper from Express which has the cutest lace tie-up back.
To end the day on a relaxing note before dinner, my sister and I went for a bike ride. Spandex shorts are definitely necessary with a comfy shirt and a plaid flannel just in case it gets cold.

I thought I would do a surprise post showing you guys my favourite items I have bought recently! Even though my bank account says no, I have to say yes and NEVER TURN DOWN SHOPPING. Sometimes when I am out and about I think to myself “What is life if I am not even buying the things I like or want” so clearly at that point I start spending. I have been on the lookout for a bathing suit that is different from all the rest; meaning no bandeaus or string bikinis. I like to have something that not a lot of people would wear. I went into Dynamite and saw that all their bathing suits were on sale (JACKPOT!) so I headed on over to the table and started browsing. The bathing suit below caught my eye because of the bright colours and how well they blended together. Obviously the back of the top and the sides of the bottom are the best part, although at first I thought “No I can’t buy this, I will get really weird tan lines” but that didn’t matter as soon as I tried it on. I was sold. We all know that feeling when you first try something you like on and it looks and feels amazing. That was how I felt. Sexy, cool, beachy.
This next new item that has entered my wardrobe is a pair of peep toe sling-backs. I cannot even begin to tell you how long I have searched and searched and searched for a pair of shoes like this. I have spend countless hours looking online at every shoe store possible, every apparel store possible and not one pair yelled to me saying “BUY ME, I BELONG ON YOUR FEET LILLY!” But then, I took a trip over to Winners to buy some hangers and an umbrella. Obviously, I can’t help but look through the entire store while on the hunt. So you know the saying where when you’re least expecting it, you find what you’re looking for (that may have been a slightly different interpretation of it). That is what happened at Winners; I had just browsed my way through the purse and luggage aisles and started to head into the shoes. Skipped right to the aisle of my size and started looking and then it was like my eyes went straight to these babies. My heart probably skipped a beat because I had found a pair that was finally THE PAIR. You know what the perfect part is, they only had one pair in the entire store and it was my size so I would basically call that a miracle. A few ways to wear these shoes would be with: a pair of boyfriend jeans and white Tee (add some statement jewelry or a bold lip), your favourite summer dress or LBD, high waist distressed shorts and an oversized button down.
I’ll be going camping for the next couple weeks and will definitely keep up with the blog. All posts will be super beachy and nature inspired so hope you all will love them! Let me know what you think below and be sure to follow me on Instagram @hungry4sytle_
