outfits 19+20 | 15 pieces.. 20 ways

We made it to the end! So many outfits, so little pieces of clothing. It’s amazing how far you can stretch your wardrobe and create so many different outfits. I hope you have enjoyed these outfits and found new ways to wear your clothes!

THE 15 PIECES ARE: jacket, cardigan, tank, lace-up shirt, flannel, turtleneck, tee, skirt, joggers, leather leggings, black jeans, baggy/ripped jeans, adidas, boots, purse. The necklace, sunnies and scarf are accessories you can add to any outfit.

Outfit 19 felt chic but relaxed, put together but comfy. I had to wear my new wool hat again, so lets pretend that the grey beanie is being swapped out for this. Wearing joggers usually only gives off one type of vibe: casual. I figured by adding a silver, statement necklace and my wool hat, it would give off a different vibe. I think it worked because I love the way it all came together.

Outfit 20 (THE LAST OUTFIT… reference to Ice Age[the last melon]) was super comfy and you can definitely add your favourite accessories to it. I decided to tuck in the tee or else every piece of clothing would have been baggy and I would have looked like a towel. Not joking. Adding the beanie really pulled the look together to be be really comfy and casual.

More outfits have arrived! Since a lot of the pieces are black or grey, wearing light coloured jeans add a lot more colour to the outfit without being too wild. I mean light wash jeans aren’t really wild at all, but you know what I mean. I usually like to wear a belt with these jeans, since they are slightly high-waisted and of course, tuck in my shirt.

Outfit number 7 was simple, it included the jacket, lace-up top, jeans, boots and purse. The length of the top and the slightly high-waisted pants met right in the middle for the perfect balance. Adding a belt would be a great idea as well to add an interest point in the middle of the outfit.

Outfit 8 was really cozy, mostly because of the scarf. The long tee looked cool with the crop of the jacket. Another simple outfit; jacket, tee, jeans, boots and purse. This outfit gives off a slouchy yet put together vibe because of the baggy jeans contrasting with the tailored jacket.

Next stop: italy!

I’M IN ITALY!!! I am so excited to have the chance to explore Italy again, this time exploring more then Rome. I have a week off from school and two girls I came to Scotland with asked if I was down for Italy and of course I said yes. Honestly, if you live in Europe, you are super lucky to have relatively cheap flights to and from the UK/Europe. I’m taking full advantage while I’m here.

With all that excitement, I’m not bring my laptop, because it was getting seriously squished while I was packing and I didn’t want to risk anything happening to it. I have a couple posts scheduled to go up during this next week and I’ll probably try to post some photos through my phone app.

I really don’t understand how people can pack for “3 weeks in a carryon”, because I’m struggling to pack for one week in a carryon. I also feel like I’m bringing nothing, anyone else feel my pain?? I’m going to be an outfit repeater so don’t mind me, lol. PLEASE make sure to follow me on Instagram @hungry4style_ to keep up with me on my trip (hooray for hotel WIFI). Here are some pics from my last visit to Rome. Sadly, I don’t think I’ll be wearing shorts this time 😦 11215141_10205397195868886_3426427136755182260_n 12004888_10205397174388349_6017547561285007388_n 12006148_10205397175548378_4666063357386497032_n 12033195_10205397190148743_9206048117168383884_n

Outfits 3 + 4 | 15 Pieces.. 20 ways

Outfits 3 and 4 are here! Definitely going for a casual, #tgif look here with sneakers and a leather jacket. As usual, here’s the collage of the 15 pieces and below are two ways to style the pieces.

Outfit number three was a little bit risky for me because I don’t usually like wearing crop tops, mostly because you can tell that I have ate a lot of food that day, relatable though? But I love the colour of this top and the lace-up so I couldn’t resist. You could easily wear high-waisted pants and tuck it in. I wore my joggers for a comfy/sporty look to match with the sneakers. Overall, this outfit includes the lace-up top, leather jacket, bag, joggers and sneakers.

Outfit number four was all about being cozy and comfy, two words that one must associate with Fall. A cowl neck, knit sweater plus a huge, fuzzy scarf = the best Fall outfit ever. I tucked in the front of the sweater to separate the pieces and to keep the outfit from looking to baggy. In addition, wearing a top-knot is my favourite lazy day hairstyle that still looks like you put effort in. This outfit includes the cowl neck sweater, joggers and sneakers.   DSC01036

Sporty Layers

Coming right at you with another outfit post in Scotland. It’s getting a little colder here, so the layers are coming out; beanie, multiple shirts and a heavier jacket. I wanted to make this look sporty/casual and my bomber jacket was the inspiration. Not going to lie, I bought this jacket in Germany right before coming to Scotland because of the plaid lining (I wanted to feel a little bit Scottish before arriving). Instead of wearing workout leggings, I opted for a more stylish option to add some texture to the outfit, this being (faux) leather leggings. DSC00773 DSC00769 DSC00786 DSC00785 DSC00793 DSC00790 If you remember me talking about my favourite oversized tee from Brandy Melville then let me tell you, it’s also the best tee to layer under sweaters or other shirts.  DSC00782 DSC00780 If you hear people say that your shoes tie your outfit together, they are right. This outfit would not have been the same without some Adidas Originals

I’ve been in Scotland for about two weeks and I friken love it here. It’s nothing like Toronto, or Canada for that matter. It’s so funny to see and experience all the differences between countries. To name one, no one piles onto the busses, no pushing or shoving (like on the TTC), they make a line and enter the bus in an orderly fashion…..crazy concept!

Onto the good stuff, I finally took some photos!! There are so many spots to take photos because every building looks like a cool castle. Everything is grey which makes for a great aesthetic, which is what it’s all about these days. Went to a park down the street from the residence I’m living in and got some shots. I have to say though, I regret everything I packed and so my outfits are literally just jeans, a tee or sweater and leather jacket. I do go to the shops like everyday, so hopefully I can mix it up once and a while.

OKAY. Legit though, I have been looking for an oversized black tee since birth and guess what? I FINALLY FOUND IT. I never usually look in Brandy Melville because I felt the ‘one size fits all’ wouldn’t fit me. While in Rome, as they say, I went into their store and tried this one on and I didn’t fall in love until I got back to the hotel and tried it on again. The tee is super soft and just flows every which way I wanted it too. It fits a bit tighter on the chest and arms and flows out.

My Necklace Collection | Part One

I thought I would do a different type of post today and show you my necklace collection. I am pretty nosy and love seeing what is in people’s closet or makeup collection. I’m going to split this post into two parts; my statement necklaces and my everyday necklaces. I want to share how I wear them and why I love them. I have a lot more silver then gold because I find silver goes with a lot more colours and outfits. Hopefully this gives you some new ideas on how to wear your necklaces!

So here are the statement necklaces I have on rotation. Be sure to head over to my Instagram to see these necklaces in action!

This is the ultimate statement necklace and I usually like to wear it with a plain tee or flannel. All the attention has to be on the necklace, duh. I like the edgy, rocker vibe it gives off. This one is from Aldo.

This is my latest addition and I am obsessed. Like I said in my Instagram post, I feel like an Egyptian queen when I put it on. I think wearing a white top looks amazing with this colour of gold. Or maybe I feel like a tanned goddess when I wear it. This one is from Dynamite.

Apparently coins are the new thing in necklaces and apparently I am obsessed with them. This necklaces is a little toned down but still grabs most of the attention when wearing it. It fits a bit tighter on the neck so it is kind of like a chocker style. I wear this necklace a lot, with dressy tanks, tees, dresses. This one is from Express.

The necklaces reminds me of the chains that members of punk rock bands wear, and I’m kind of digging it. This one is also pretty toned down so it’s really easy to style with, you can basically wear any shirt. This one is from Dynamite.

I have worn this one quite a bit and I love the layers of thin chain, it adds a cool draping effect. It’s pretty simple but adds a lot of cool detail to your outfit. Recently, I actually wore this necklace hanging off a pair of distressed, black skinnies and I LOVED IT. I saw Gigi Hadid wear it as one of her festival looks and I died. I came back to earth and am obsessed with doing it. This one is from Express.

Day to Night Outfits

I bought this romper a few weeks ago and haven’t worn it yet. Story of my life. Mostly because I didn’t have anywhere to wear it too, as I thought it would be a ‘going out’ romper. But I’ve wanted to wear it sooooo badly and I thought that there must be a way for me to style it for during the day (casual). The first idea that came to mind was add some sneakers and wrap a flannel around my waist. Turns out, it really dressed down the romper and now I can wear it to run errands or go for lunch. I then realized that I also do want to be able to wear this out into the evening, maybe for some drinks or a walk downtown. Here are my versions of a day to night outfit with only making a couple simple and quick changes. This could also work for your LBD that’s been hanging in your closet with nowhere to go. Hope you enjoy!!

DAY IMG_5143 IMG_5203 IMG_5214

Really simple, minimal jewelry and light makeup. IMG_5249

To create the ‘NIGHT’ look, I chucked my sneakers and flannel to the side, added a bold lip, put my hair half up, added a simple necklace (because I didn’t want to overpower the lace detailing on the romper) and put on some comfy block heel sandals. IMG_5351 IMG_5367 IMG_5371

I think these two looks are total opposites and buying pieces that are versatile like this; are great for a busy lifestyle and your wallet.

Friday Favs + Mini Review #shapematters

So, this week’s Friday favourites is just going to be one product but I swear to god this product is so amazing it takes the place of like 5 other products you have in your makeup collection. If you don’t know, I’ve started to get more into beauty and makeup products and I want to bring that into my blog. Much like fashion and clothing, makeup is a way of having fun and trying new things. It’s not about disguising yourself or trying to be something you’re not. It’s about doing what makes you happy and feel good! Enough rambling and let’s get to the good stuff.

This week I’m talking about the new Smashbox #ShapeMatters palette. If you follow me on Instagram (which you should) then you have seen a couple posts where I rave about how amazing this product is. This product contains 2 eyebrow powders and a wax, 4 contour and highlight shades and 9 eyeshadow shades, oh and a double ended brush for the eyebrows and eyeshadows. This palette is honestly so multi-purpose, it’s amazing. Every single colour in this palette is amazing and can be used for day or night makeup looks. The colours have great pigmentation and they blend very easily. I’ve been using this palette like every single day since I’ve bought it and the colours last so long on the skin. The palette is $69.00 on Sephora.com and it is SO worth the price. I’ve been wanting to buy the contour palette and sticks from Smashbox but have held off since they are a little pricey. So as soon as I heard about this palette, it was a no brainer that I needed it.

Now we’re getting to the real good stuff; swatches and pictures.

Left to right, top to bottom:

[BROW] eyebrow wax, taupe and soft brown

[FACE] contour, bronze, highlight and glow

[EYE] vanilla, totally nude, champagne, stripped, posh, platinum, sumatra, aubergine, blackout

I’ve been loving wearing ‘GLOW’ as a highlight and ‘HIGHLIGHT’ to set my under eye concealer. Oh the irony. I use ‘CONTOUR’ everyday to, you guessed it, contour. It gives a really natural looking structure to the face, unlike some other powders that look to orange or unnatural. I haven’t gotten around to using the darker eyeshadow shades but I have used almost all the lighter ones and I love them all.

If you haven’t gotten the hint already then what I’m trying to say is that you need this palette. Even if you’re a beginner to the makeup world (I still consider myself one), this is a great multi-purpose palette to get you started. If you are usually unsure about buying palettes because of the price or maybe you won’t use a couple shades, like myself, this palette will seriously amaze you and it is definitely worth the price. For me, I took into consideration that I wanted to buy the trio contour sticks from Smashbox and those alone are $52, this palette was only $17 more and I got 1 more contour shade, 9 eyeshadows, a brush and 3 eyebrow products. If that’s not a great value, I don’t know what is.

Happy Friday!!

Friday Favs

Back again with another favourite of this past week. For a while now there is a huge trend on the ‘mirrored’ sunglasses and I have fallen victim to it. The brand Quay Australia is a huge name this summer and it seems that everyone (including the hottest celebs) has a pair. I don’t blame them because they are SO nice. I recently got a pair of mirrored sunglasses from Express and I have, no joke, not taken them off since I bought them. Even when I don’t actually need to wear them, I hang them on my shirt.

I love the retro style of these sunglasses mixed with the modern trend of the super mirrored sunglasses. Funny story, I used to hate mirrored sunglasses but I have now changed and have fallen in love with them. These pics are from my Instagram so don’t forget to follow me over there, too!Screen Shot 2015-06-19 at 3.39.38 PM
