New Year’s Eve Outfit | Idea 2

3 more days! If you have no clue what to wear yet here is another outfit idea for your New Year’s Eve party. Every outfit has to have a little sparkle, would it be New Year’s Eve without any?

Screen Shot 2014-12-29 at 7.48.30 PM I love all the textures going on in this look; sequins, velvet, faux leather. Another thing I am in love with, how PERFECTLY the colours match; the deep plum lipstick, rich blue and shiny gold. Keeping the accessories minimal would work best with an outfit like this, simple white pearl earrings and your fav rings. Let me know what you think of this outfit below!

Skirt: Pull & Bear $29 | Top: The Hut $52 | Earrings: Berricle $39.99 | Lipstick: Nars $26 | Heels: Nordstrom $29.93 | Clutch: Overstock $41

New Year’s Eve Outfit | Idea 1

A New Year’s Eve outfit is probably the hardest outfit to pick every year. There are so many thoughts running through our heads; skirt? dress? hair up or down? fake nails? 6 inch heels or 4 inch heels? It can get so overwhelming!! I am here to help with some outfit ideas, just like I did for holiday parties. These posts will be a little different because I will make the collages on Polyvore, of the entire outfit, including nail colour ideas, makeup ideas and more! Let me know what you think in the comments! I will be doing this until the 30th so I hope you enjoy!  Screen Shot 2014-12-27 at 6.42.24 PM

This wine coloured jumpsuit is perfect for a night out and the colour is just right for the season. Gold accessories match perfectly, adding a necklace that is the same shape of the neckline of the jumpsuit makes the outfit look really well put together and it just make sense. Since the jumpsuit is the statement of the outfit, wearing neutral makeup would compliment this look best. The faux fur vest and heel add some texture to the outfit.

Jumpsuit: The Hut $49 | Necklace: Daily Look $25.99 | Vest: H&M $54 | Heels: New Look $22 | Bag: Shop Akira $46.39 | Lipstick: Mac $19 | Nail Polish: OPI $36

Holiday Party Outfit | Idea 3

Merry Christmas! I hope you are having an amazing day surrounded by the people you love. Tonight is the holiday party of all holiday parties because it is on Christmas day. For this outfit idea, I mixed a casual graphic tee with a dressy wrap skirt and tights. I like to mix and match pieces to make a look all my own and I hope this inspires your holiday party outfit for tonight; if you are a procrastinator and haven’t picked one out yet…lol

Adding a statement necklace to a casual top can dress up your entire outfit. I got this necklace today from my Mom and Dad so I had to show it off! I love the layered look of it, and the spikes of course.

In the spirit of Christmas, you can add a cute typography graphic Tee like this from Express. I love the shape of a wrap skirt because it outlines your silhouette perfectly. This cotton one is great because I can wear it casual or dress it up with tights like I did here. Of course, I had to tuck the tee in at the front because it wouldn’t be my style without it. To make it your own style, wear a fun pair of tights, your fav winter ankle booties or stack on some rings and bracelets instead of a necklace.

Happy Holidays and stay tuned for New Years Eve outfit ideas starting on the 27th! Follow me on Instagram for daily inspiration @hungry4style_ or click “My Instagram” to the right.

Holiday Party Outfit | Idea 2

I’m back with another holiday party outfit idea! Just incase you didn’t read the title, lol. If you saw Idea 1, you read that comfy and cozy are two words that basically mean the holidays, Idea 2 is following the trend. Christmas is even closer now and if you still don’t know what to wear to Christmas dinner or to any holiday dinner/party, here is some inspiration! Once again, I LOVE feedback, so let me know what you think in the comments and what you love to wear for holiday parties.

This sweater is SOOOOOO comfy, I literally have worn it like everyday since I have bought it (shhhhh, don’t tell). I love the idea of pairing a warm, oversized sweater with a skirt because it dresses up the look but you can still be super comfy. You can also pair your fav sweater with a skater or circle skirt. Add your own style to this look by adding your fav jewelry, a cool hairstyle, a statement lip colour and more.

I have had this skirt for a couple of years now, the colour is so rich and perfect for the holidays. It has faux leather panels on the front and back which I love and adds some more texture to the look. If the weather is pretty cold you can definitely add tights to your outfit, sheer or opaque would look great.

I opted for a comfier shoe option, because who likes standing around in four inch heels all night long? Not me! Plus, shades of grey are super trendy this winter season and the colour will go with almost anything. The menswear, oxford type shoe is one of my favourite styles, I find they make your outfit look more well put together.

PS… once again, mind the quality of the pictures and focus on the outfit!! I am taking photos with my iPhone because there always seems to be some mysterious spot on my camera lens and the pictures turn out even worse on there. But don’t worry, there will be a new camera in the mix after Christmas!!

Holiday Party Outfit | Idea 1

Can you believe Christmas is less then a week away????? I sure can’t, the holidays are flying by. With Santa’s arrival fast approcahing, that means holiday parties galore! Personally, I really don’t go to that many, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have an outfit ready to wear to one…lol.

A lot of YouTubers do videos on holiday hair, makeup and outfit ideas and I thought it would be great to do one as well. Blog format is definitely a lot easier for me to do right now because I don’t have the best video/editing skills (yet) and I don’t have a place to film the outfits. Nonetheless, here is the first outfit idea for a holiday party! Let me know what you think in the comments!! I LOVE feedback!

A staple for me, all black. A trapeze dress is great for the holidays because it looks amazing on any body type and there are so many ways to accessorize it. I added a statement necklace to dress the look up and a red lip, perfect for the holidays.

If you live somewhere cold, like me, these over-the-knee socks are a definite must. They keep most of your leg warm and are so cute!! I paired them with a black chelsea boot which elongated my legs. Comfy and cozy are two words that I associate with the holidays, adding an oversized knit cardigan made the look just that.

PS… once again, mind the quality of the pictures and focus on the outfit!! I am taking photos with my iPhone because there always seems to be some mysterious spot on my camera lens and the pictures turn out even worse on there. But don’t worry, there will be a new camera in the mix after Christmas!!

Darker Days

I am so excited to finally own a wool fedora! I have been eyeing this hat for a long time now and I am soooo happy to own it. There are a billion and one ways to style this hat and today, I went casual. Since I was off work today, I just had some errands to run so I wanted a casual and comfy outfit.

Black jeans and a tee is my go-to casual outfit. I went with leaving my tee untucked for that baggy, oversized look. And I mean it’s Monday, so it’s a lazy day. I wanted my hat to be the statement piece of the outfit so I went with dark colours that didn’t draw a lot of attention.

I am currently loving the nail polish colour ‘wicked’ by Essie. It such a rich, deep colour; perfect for the Holidays.
